The First Four Days

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

A young Nicaraguan resident of New Orleans has produced the best visual documentation of the first four days of the disaster I've seen yet. It's a bit long, 197 captioned photographs, but well worth taking the time to view. It's a personal story too, and, consequently, a much more credible account. You can't help but shift your previous perspective on the situation while viewing these pictures.

Well, that took a while to go through, but worth it. Excellent - but it wont make ME start to believe :)

Hope you're "bouncing back" & feeling a bit cheerier.

Believe what?

I'm still pretty much in shock, but I'm encouraged to see that the mainstream media is beginning to reveal all the dirty little secrets and shooting holes in the administration's spin.

I'll be going out to hear some blues Saturday night. That will reanimate my soul.

Hope the blues did away with your blues, Elizabeth.

Sorry, the bit about believing. I was commenting (light heartedly) on the captions of the great fotos of New Orleans. On several occasions the guy talks about divine intervention and it never being too late to believe. I think he was being light hearted about it too.

I'm a complete agnostic, except for the flying spaghetti monster :)

I forgot about those comments. :) It's a little far from my spiritual view as well.
